If you need a place to stay in Copenhagen where you can
feel at home without having to think about domestic chores,
Charlottehaven Hotel's serviced apartments offer great design and
comfort after a busy day.
Located in a tranquil, yet central area of Copenhagen,
Charlottehaven Hotel was a two phase project. Phase one was
inaugurated in 2001, phase two in 2004.
Phase one, containing 178 rental units, is a continuous block of
five and six stories that occupies the perimeter of the site,
creating a large internal courtyard.

With inspiration drawn from the area's architectural history,
the building expresses itself quietly in a rich interplay of light
and shadow over meticulously detailed, contrasting materials. The
flamed brickwork, with its variegated dark colors, was specially
developed for the project in cooperation with the client and
tileworks.

Phase two, consisting of 44 service apartments, a health club, café, conference and meeting facilities, is housed in a long rectangular single story volume with two eight-story towers containing the hotel apartments.
The inspiration and materials of the first phase are carried over to the second, unifying the entire complex in material and expression around the green courtyard.

The reception area, serving both the apartment towers, the café and health club, is large and airy. A restored Fiat 500L is permanently parked, the colorful art is by Marianne Thygesen.
The café, overlooking the garden and the pool, is open from morning to late in the evening. It is a cozy place to enjoy a meal, have a drink or a cup of coffee, or just read the newspaper.
Relax in the 20 meter long pool with it's sleek lines and
dispersed light, or work out in the health club and finish the day
with a massage.
