The new Liverpool Museum presents Liverpool waterfront with an open and inviting topography, a focal point for the past, present and future of Liverpool life, integrating the global as well as the local community.

Envisioned by the architects as an elevated platforms, that grows out the site, the building forms a sculptural, iconic structure at the Pier Head.

The dynamic, open structure, visible from both the river and the city, will be part of the landscape, as well as a container, continuing the Merseyside promenade flow right through its core.

Liverpool, officially named a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, has been selected as European Cultural Capital in 2008.

Salford Arts and Media Centre

Manchester, UK

The Salford Arts and Media Centre is intended to boost the education sector of Manchester, and become a central icon for the University of Salford. The Centre will offer ideal conditions for the development of new British talents in art, performance, fashion design and media.

3XN has designed a transparent and dynamic structure that integrates the creative education and encourages the sharing of inspiration and knowledge.
All studios and workshops are concentrated around a tall, glass roofed space with a central spiral staircase that connects all floors.

Gently sloping ramps lead to the multifunctional auditoriums, the library, and other facilities. The facade, an interactive “membrane”, points to the artistic content of the building.
