Fox & Fowle Architects, P.C. is an architectural, interior design and planning firm located in New York City. The firm provides a complete range of design servicesfrom master plans, feasibility studies, program analysis, and site selection through post-occupancy evaluationfor projects of every type, size, and scope. In recent years the firm has been honored with numerous design awards, including the coveted Medal of Honor by the AIA New York Chapter, two awards from the AIA New York State, an Honor Award for Outstanding Architecture for the National American Institute of Architects, and four awards from the Society of American Registered Architects.
Robert F. Fox, Jr. and Bruce S. Fowle formed Fox & Fowle Architects in 1978. Since its inception, the firm’s practice has been diverse, with much repeat work in the planning and design of corporate headquarters and office buildings, commercial and institutional interiors, cultural and educational facilities, residential buildings, mixed use, adaptive reuse and renovation projects.
In 2000, Jambhekar Strauss, founded seven years earlier by Mark Strauss and Sudhir Jambhekar, merged with Fox & Fowle. Mark and Sudhir joined Robert Fox, Bruce Fowle, Daniel Kaplan, and Sylvia Smith as Principals in the firm. The combined practice offers expanded design, programming, and planning expertise in: corporate, civic, and transportation facilities; residential, hospitality, office and mixed-use projects; cultural, educational, and not-for-profit institutions; and interior environments. The firm is divided into four studios: Planning, Educational/Cultural, Public Work, and Commercialeach of which is directed by a Principal.
