The winning design by Lab architecture studio, located on the most important business road in central Riyadh, is a collection of angled and interlocking singular towers which together form a dramatic architectural image.
The assembly of tilted and joined towers are connected by a recessed garden and retail space. This provides the complex with two primary entry points; one to the towers, the other through “the canyon,” a gently sloping cut in the ground, to the retail and dining facilities.
The landscaped public promenade will also function as a place for relaxation.

The anodized perforated aluminium skin provides an efficient and effective sun shading device, assisting the environmental control of the buildings. The surface texture will also animate and give life to the buildings.
From the inside the buildings will offer slightly veiled views, the facades acting as a thin tracery of shifting transparency, providing a welcome relief from the harsh sun.
“The ensemble is a precinct of designed relationships. It is the relationships between all components, retail, food and beverage, communal spaces and landscape areas, that have been tested and formulated to give the development a unique and tightly orchestrated integration of use and experience.”
