Arkitektgruppen Århus was established in 1970 by five young Århus architects after having won their first competition as a group for Køge Town Hall.
During their first years they became widely known for innovative design of apartment houses and by the end of the 80’s they had designed over 15,000 apartments.
In 1995 they expanded the practice with four additional partners and today the offices, in Copenhagen and Århus, have grown to employ 150.
After being awarded the Cement Element Prize in 1990 for A new apartment building; a project that was groundbreaking both in design and construction, they moved on to larger commercial projects.
