The 1990 concert was performed by Roger Waters with guest artists, because he had left the band by that time.

The 10-meter high cardboard wall of the original show was replaced by a 25-meter high polystyrene and scaffolding structure 168 meters wide. ÊIt was scaled to suit the 10-hectare site on the derelict Potsdamer Platz, a part of no man's land between East and West Germany that is regarded by Berliners as the symbolic heart of the former city. ÊThe stage itself was 30-meters across, and was designed to accomodate not only the band, which was assembled specially for the performance by Roger Waters, but also an 80-piece orchestra, a 150-person choir, the Marching Band of the Combined Sovjet Forces and a variety of limousines and military vehicles that featured in the show .
