The finished wood, 45cm x 45cm smooth sawn Pacific Coastal Douglas fir, using Sustainable Forestry Initiative (® SFI) Standard (2005-2009 edition), was supplied by Beere Timber Company.
The material was cut oversized to allow for shrinkage and movement in the kiln, then Radio Frequency/ Vacuum dried to target of 15% moisture content. After drying, the timber was resawn to straighten, and then planed to clients net size requirements.
