This scheme is a mixture of housing and commercial buildings with a superb location between Strandvejen, the coastal road, and the ¯resund Strait in Hellerup, north of Copenhagen. The building scheme consists of three simple elements; a square block, a long block and a cone-shaped rotunda, which gathers anddd resolves the main lines in the scheme. The rotunda is the projects pivot point and a landmark for the entire area. The facilities are gathered around each special space; the shops surrounding the rotunda, the commercial areas around a triangular courtyard and the housing around a garden court in the center of the block, all contribute to giving the scheme its special character. A system of arcades on the ground floor tie the various elements together.
