New Broadcasting Headquarters
Århus, Denmark

TV2 Østjylland's new broadcasting headquarters in the northern part of Århus sits atop Skejbybakke as a clearly defined, compact, and sharply cut building in the simple adapted landscape. Situated on a grassy plateau, the open and simple architecture achieves optimal visual contact with the surroundings without seeming monumental.

The Editorial Offices

Two elongated brick volumes serve as 'bookends' supporting the heart of the Broadcast Company, which consists of the studio, editorial offices, and a canteen. Functions are clearly defined either as two story open rooms or encapsulated in steel plated boxes.

Between the brick volumes, galvanized steel, steel gray shades, oak floors and doors, and precise detailing create a bright and flexible interior. TV2 Østjylland is one of TV2 Øst's regional stations handling the interests of the local community. TV2 Østjylland is a company that keeps on growing. In the beginning of 1990 there were approximately 20 employees, and now there are more than 80. The station produces local as well as national television programs.
