ERIC OWEN MOSS
Eric Owen Moss opened his office in 1973 in Los Angeles. Moss was educated at Berkeley and Harvard. He has recently held professorial chairs at Yale, Harvard and appointments in Copenhagen and Vienna, in addition to SCI-ARC, where he began teaching in 1973 and is currently on the Board of Directors. His work has recently been exhibited in Duren, Germany, Barcelona, Spain. Lisbon, Portugal and he was one of the four American architects invited to represent the U.S.A. at the 1996 Venice Biennale. The second Rizzoli monograph - ERIC OWEN MOSS: BUILDINGS AND PROJECTS 2 was recently published. Current projects include work in Vienna, Spain, France, New York, Los Angeles, and Culver City. The latest completed building is the 100 meter long Samitaur office block, headquarters for Eastman Kodak, situated over a road in Los Angeles. A concert hall for experimental music for the LA Philharmonic in Culver City will be next. Moss is the recipient of 28 design awards from Progressive Architecture and the American Institute of Architecture and is a fellow of the American Institute of Architecture. |
