Jiri Havran was born 1953 in Teplice, Czechoslovakia (now Czech Republic). He came to Norway in 1974 and is now established as one of Norway's foremost architectural photographers. He works as a freelance photographer in Oslo.
He has collaborated on a number of publications and books about both modern and traditional architecture:
St. Hallvard Abbey, Kongens Hus, Ålesund, the City of Art Nouveau, Bergstaden Røros, Bryggen i Bergen and Nordic Artists' Homes.

Assignments for/published in: Byggekunst, Domus, Architectural Review, Bauwelt and many other leading international magazines.
