Dorte Mandrup’s meeting center for IKEA is evocative of the functionality, efficiency and innovation that the home furnishing giant represents, and encourages encounter and collaboration through an inventive approach to workspace design.

The renovation and expansion of the Neighborhood Center was part of a larger neighborhood renewal plan. The main objective was to connect the building's many different activities and, at the same time, ensure an openness and accessibility for the public.
The H53 Seaplane Hangar is located at the former Holmen naval base, on the last landfill project, Magretheholmen, that was established in 1916. The hangar, built in 1921 from a design by architect Chr. Olrich, is one of the first pre-stressed concrete structures of its size in Denmark.
