Buck House
R. M. Schindler
Los Angeles, California, USA
When in Los Angeles we were invited to visit the rarely published Buck House; one of Schindler's finest houses.
Built in 1934 the plan is L-shaped with changes in ceiling height which allow for diagonal views and clerestory windows. Large panels of glass open the interior spaces to the south garden area.

Like in most of Schindler's work great attention is paid to the details and the materia he used, glass, wood, metal and concrete, have a very visible presence.
