An abstract composition in point, line, plane and volume. A simple wall of native stone implies an unimposing separation between the public and the more private realm beyond.
The wall is a datum against which the private "precinct" is claimed from nature by a stone podium as an island in the surrounding landscape.
The slightly elevated podium reinforces the separation between the order and geometry of what is man-made as opposed to the uncontrolled nature of the surrounding landscape.
