On the Road.......

For the next couple of months my Letters will be short and frequent to let you know what is happening while I am moving around. My first stop is Seattle for the installation of the Frank Gehry exhibition at the Henry Art Gallery.

The exhibition is in the double-height East Gallery in the new extention (1997) designed by Gwathmey Siegel & Associates. The 30,000 square feet addition, an architectural collage of glass, textured stainless steel and cast stone, compliments the original, red brick, collegiate-Gothic structure designed by Carl Gould in the 1920s. I will tell you a lot more about it in a future Feature.

Inside EMP

After working all day Saturday we went to the EMP. It is wild...... do go and don't miss "The Artist's Journey"..... through special, sometimes dizzying, effects you have the impression of being right on stage moving around with some of the great stars of Rock and Roll.

Monday I am going to the construction site of The Bellevue Museum designed by Steven Holl.

P.S. The Frank Gehry exhibition catalog was just released. You can order it through the Henry Art Gallery.
