Join us in Second Life and meet other readers from across the globe in our new Virtual Community.

We have made the move into Second Life and have started to build the arcspace Virtual Community which will be a platform for interacting with our readers from across the globe, for collaboration, for building, and for exploring new tools and techniques.

While planning our move to a private island, we have created a temporary home for the arcspaceSL community. Twelve high-rise buidings on the beach, each with nine two-story apartments and a ground floor shop. These structures, and our residents, will all be moved to our new island, where additional buildings and infrastructure will be available.

We are very excited about this new venture and look forward to developing the arcspace Virtual Community with our partners and readers.

For the last three month we have been exploring Second Life with our partners and have found it an ideal platform to start communicating with our readers and exchange ideas in a shared Virtual Community. We have selected a group of experts in different areas of SL who will be giving weekly classes at arcspaceSL.

Our plans include:
Building the community
Project presentations
Exhibitions
Awards
Forums
Debates
SL building Courses
Lectures
Competitions
Special events

During July and August we will meet at arcspaceSL and exchange ideas. There will also be SL building courses and fun parties.
The first exhibition, now in the planning phases with Vanilla Five, will be up in September.

Membership in Second Life is free, the arcspaceSL apartments
rent for 1,000 L$ a month ... this is about US$4.00

You must sign up for a minimum of one month to get access to the site and take part in all the creative activities we have planned.
You will also get an arcspaceSL Tshirt.

Once we have your avatar name we will invite you to an Open House where you can view the site and the apartments furnished by JV Holding.

Our SL architects also designed the Wise Metaverse complex, a business community where people can exchange ideas and present their SL projects in a free, informal environment.
