Berlin, Germany

Experience design, light, aesthetics in an alluring ambiance.

Located on Berlin’s exhilarating Potsdamer Platz, amid a sea of futuristic skyscrapers, The Mandala Hotel is an oasis with a great sense of style.
Quiet inner courtyards removes you from the bustle on the streets below, while balconies and terraces give you panoramic city views.

The style is modern, but restrained, with attention focused on the living spaces, rather than the hotel’s public face. The lobby is small and unassuming, giving the feeling of coming home to a chic apartment.

Stairs lead to the Qiu Lounge on the 1st floor. Kick back in a comfortable lounge chair, unwind, and taste a variety of exotic cocktails and drinks in the intimate club ambience.

The architecture is about purist luxury, sleek design and functionality. The 157 studios and suites are spacious, full of technical details integrated into the design....and you can open a window. Instead of the bible you will find a copy of the Declaration of Human Rights by the bed.

The Penthouse Suite

My smaller corner suite had a view of the Sony Center by Helmut Jahn to one side and Hans Sharoun’s Philharmonic to the other. Talk about feeling spoiled:)

The Facil restaurant on the 5th floor, managed by chef Michael Kempf, has a retractable glass roof to keep the elements out, and let the moonlight in. The sound of water, from two giant jars, add to the calm atmosphere. In the summer the restaurant expands to include the terrace garden. The buffet breakfast is also served here.

Work out or relax in the new ONO Spa and Fitness Center on the 11th floor, a world of holistic well-being high above Berlin. The SPA, the corridors, and the rooms are decorated with Herb Ritts prints.

The ONO Spa is the first in Germany to offer the Via Sensus reflexology walk-around course on the terrace.

You couldn't possibly ask for a more central Berlin hotel location; you are right where the old Border and Wall used to be, in walking distance to the State Library and Philharmonic by Hans Sharoun, the New National Gallery by Mies van der Rohe, as well as buildings by Renzo Piano, Hans Kollhoff, Richard Rogers, Arata Isozaki, Rafael Moneo, Helmut Jahn, Hilmer, Sattler & Albrecht, David Chipperfield, and many more.

The Mandala Hotel is privately managed by Lutz Hesse and Christian Andresen.
